The ban has something to do with Miguel’s great-great-grandfather, once a very famous singer.
To find out more about the ancestral ban, Miguel must enter the land of the dead. While there, he befriends Hector, a charming conman. But, the two make an unlikely bond and set off on a journey to help Miguel figure out his family’s past.
It’s not very often you come across an animation movie with a 8.4 rating at IMDB, with almost half a million votes no less. Coco is a treat for both the eyes and the ears, with a lot of good natured comedy sprinkled throughout the movie as well. Definitely first on our list of movies like Vivo.

The plot? The Muppets are about to lose the Muppet Theater to Tex Richman. Richman wants to drill for oil at the site that houses the theater. The solution? To round up all the Muppets to put on one last big show which they hope will save the theater.
Helping the Muppets are two humans played by Amy Adams and Jason Segel. What’s really funny about this movie other than Muppets being Muppets is what the Muppets were up to before they are all banded together. Kermit the Frog is depressed and living alone in a mansion in Hollywood. Miss Piggy is a plus-sized editor at Vogue, in Paris. “The Great Gonzo” is a ‘high-class’ plumber. The story is wacky but it all comes together when the Muppets gettogether, like it always does with them.
The music is very good too! In fact, this movie won an Oscar award for best achievement in Music for the song “Man or Muppet”.
