This movie is all about traversing old wounds to find new love. If you liked JJ+E, this movie has little chance of disappointing you. The supporting cast is great with Alexandra Shipp, Ginny Gardner, Keegan-Michael Key and Luke Wilson delivering strong performances in their respective roles.

When a charming boy with the same illness comes to the hospital, the sparks fly between them. The movie’s title literally means that they have to remain five feet apart, for medical reasons. But, will their unmistakable romance make them risk their health to require their unmistakable love? The acting is very sincere. The sick flick romance genre has been done before. The plot is fairly predictable. But, it is still a sweet romance to watch for teenagers.

Set in the idyllic landscapes and beaches of Turkey, this movie is a visual treat. And the teen romance isn’t bad either. The movie revolves around Deniz who is just 16. He is in love with Asli. Deniz tries to woo Asli. In his way is his innocent inexperience with love, a handsome rival and constantly changing group dynamics. A teen movie you can definitely relate to. And, just like JJ+E, it’s a foreign language film that adds to the allure of a romantic movie. You definitely want your subtitles on for this one.

This movie is an easy watch. If you like Hallmark movie type teen movies, you’ll probably want to bump this up on your list of Netflix movies like JJ+E.
The plot is quite simple. Heavy snowfall brings people together. And, it’s not just snow in the air. There’s love too. The cast is new and young but they have done a remarkably good job of bringing in the feels for you. This might be just the movie to get you into your Christmas holiday mood too! It is after all the middle of September already!

Another teen movie set in an exotic location. This time, we go to the lands under a gorgeous Sicilian sun. But, this movie is as much about love as it is about heartbreak. If you aren’t quite ready for love that doesn’t end well, you should probably skip this one. But then, all is fair in love and we suspect that you might give it a watch after all.
The scenic locations are beautiful to look at and the lead pair share very good chemistry, besides looking gorgeous.
6 The Half of It

Looking for an uncommon teen romance movie? This is a very good one. The story revolves around Ellie, a shy and introverted student. The school jock befriends Ellie, seeking her help to woo a girl he loves. But, what complicates matters is that Ellie has fallen for the girl too. The movie is funny, charming and very real in these times of open gender fluidity. This is essentially a retelling of the Cyrano de Bergerac play. Don’t know that one? It’s worth a google search if you looking for content in the teenage romance space!
A very charming movie. A coming of age teenage rom-com. We didn’t intend to put this movie as the last one on our list. It very well could have been our first recommendation as well!
